
This course will train instructor candidates to teach basic-level American Red Cross First Aid, CPR and AED courses. To participate in this instructor course, you must be at least 16 years old and submit proof a current basic-level American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED (or higher level) certification or equivalent (restrictions apply). Required eLearning must be completed prior to the first day of class. Some classroom materials required.

The American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor course trains instructor candidates to teach the basic-level courses and modules in the American Red Cross Lifeguarding program. To be eligible for this instructor course you must be at least 17 years old, show proof of a current basic-level certification in American Red Cross Lifeguarding (Including Deep Water) with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid, obtain all required instructor and participant course materials, and successfully complete the required eLearning content prior to the first in-person session.
This course is for currently certified (or expired less than one year) American Red Cross lifeguard instructors and lifeguard instructor trainers only.
The Lifeguarding Instructor/Instructor Trainer Recertification course gives instructors and instructor trainers the opportunity to maintain their American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor or Instructor Trainer certification. Preregistration and completion of the eLearning content are required.
