Proof of a current American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED For the Professional Rescuer and First Aid certification is required at the time of registration. Registration closes April 19, 2023

- 9:00-6:00 Thursday April 27, 2023
This course is not designed to teach you lifeguarding skills. You are expected to come to class with a strong understanding of the lifeguard program and be able to perform the lifeguarding skills to the standard. You can find information on the r.17 lifeguarding program

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS TO BECOME A LIFEGUARDING INSTRUCTOR:
- Must have a current ARC lifeguard certification
- Must be at least 17 years old by the last day of class
- Successfully complete the Online Session
- Successfully complete the Precourse Skills Test Session
- Attend and actively participate in all course sessions
- Successfully complete class activities, including four practice-teaching assignments
- Score a minimum of 80% (20 correct answers out of 25 questions) on the instructor course final
written exam
