Eileen Lafland
Title: Instructor, Instructor Trainer

I started teaching Red Cross swimming courses 45 years ago and became a water safety instructor trainer about 35 years ago. I started teaching First Aid and CPR classes about the same time as I became a WSIT. As new training became available I became an AED instructor and have just recently added BloodBorne Pathogens as an area I can teach. I have taught Full service and Community classes for ARC as well as being responsible for helping train teachers and staff in the school district I recently retired from. As a WSI instructor trainer I am responsible for training students at the East Millinocket Rec Dept. and have held many classes over the years in the Bangor area with students from many towns and cities. I also assisted in training other WSIT’s over the years.  I am also a certified Hunter, Snowmobile and ATV safety instructor for Me Dept.of Inland, Fisheries and Wildlife and have used my Red Cross First Aid/CPR/ AED training in the classes I have taught for them. In my spare time I am also an active member of the Maine Snowmobile Association and am currently Eastern Region VP for that organization, being responsible for representing over 70 snowmobile clubs in the Penobscot, Hancock, Washington and Piscataquis counties.   Eileen has been with Lighthouse Health and Safety since 2015.
